Written about in books, Spiritual Enlightenment is the ultimate spiritual realization of the divine, which is the Presence of God. Whether someone uses various breathing exercises (such as transcendental or pranayama), meditates, prays, works with chakras and auras (not to just charge the chakra or aura, but to raise them in frequency), studies metaphysics, follows a spiritual guide or teacher, does yoga (the traditional path -not just exercising), or just devotes themselves toa specific religion (as long as one adheres to the Truth within it), the spiritual realization of unity becomes apparent. This experience is peace, love, happiness, fulfillment, which are all the essence of God, or simply known to the spiritually advanced as the Universal Mind, Oneness, or Reality. It is infinite existence.

A lot of things in a lot of religions.

In buddhism it is the release from all suffering that comes through realizing the truth of the world and becoming ego-less (knowing there is no "self" or "soul" and not being attached to pleasing material things or having aversions towards displeasing things). After this you are released from the cycle of life and death which is the only way to truly cease suffering, as life itself is suffering.

It is the realization of a greater Truth. It is seeing the world in a different light, where all is ONE. It is the shedding of dualistic mind. It is the actualization of your Higher Self. It is being re-connected to God and knowing, feeling that God permeates All and that God is a part of you as you are a part of God. It's all these things and more. I saw/felt/knew/was THIS for a brief moment in time all these things... I realized everything is NOW, everwhere is NOW.. just for a brief instance like a flash then it was gone.
