First time I ever heard about Zinedine Zidane was during this World Cup, and now he's my favorite. Who else is a new fan?

No not a new fan, an old and still fan. I'm glad for you that you were able to see him play before he retired. You now have a little taste of Zizou and why he is so loved and admired by his fans. He is an amazing player, so skilled and graceful. Such a shame though that you did not get to see him play in his prime...not that he didn't return and prove he still has it....but I am sure you will able to find many replays of his matches...enjoy.

I am one of his fans, I think zidane is amazing and I don't care about the accident in the last match cuz he is such a legend in football

i've long been a fan but still would like to be counted here, if you don't mind, : ). glad you had this chance to see him work his magic out there. zizou is my icon not just as a footballer but as a person. it amazes me that inspite of his success, he has remained humble, a dedicated family man, and always proud of his roots. i admire him all the more because unlike most footballers out there who're content to savor their success materially, zizou has parlayed his fame to reach out and inspire others thru his many humanitarian work. he's really quite a guy and his peers have nothing but praise and profound respect for him. that's the ultimate accolade in my book.

I am a huge fan of Zidane's right from France 99. According to me he is the greatest footballer in his generation.
