Can any one tell me why record labels are doing this?

i bought the juelz santana cd and it was the unedited version. every single song has swearing and he talks about crack in all of them. but in the end of the cd the mic check song is edited. i know this because i have heard and seen the music video and the words are different. IT IS THE PARENTAL ADVISORY COPY BUT ONE SONG IS EDITED! WHY?

The front of the album says PARENTAL ADVISORY and I bought it at Target. It may be the radio edit version but why would they put the radio version on a parental advisory album instead of the real song?

All depends on where u buy it parental advisory were made cuz a lot of parents gripped about the language their kids were listening to so they came up with he parental advisory u go to most of ur music stores u will have a choice but places like Wal-Mart can only sell the parental advisories

This depends on where you buy them. You can buy the unedited CDs, but some stores choose to only sell edited. Wal Mart sells ONLY edited CDs. If you want unedited, I would suggest buying them from Amazon or iTunes (it will specifically say that they are the 'explicit' versions) or Hastings (or a similar CD store in your city!)

i don't know about those particular ones, but a lot of cds are edited because there are certain things record companies don't want their artists to say - even if it's the parental advisory version

For instance, Eminem rapped about columbine, but that got censored out.

the parental control copies are not supposed to have any cursing in them so parents can sort of control what their childrn are listening to.

You are also buying them from the wrong supplier.
