Sounds like a country western song...
Seriously, it doesn't matter either way unless your Mother actually killed him cold in blood. Ultimately, your Father, rest his sole, made his choices in life and if they were influenced by your Mother that was his choice.
If you can see that she's a bad person, I believe you. Unfortunately, there are a lot of "silly" selfish people out there that cause far to many problems.
If that's the case, keep your distance and try not to turn into your Mother. Learn from her mistakes.
Good Luck.

A male friend of mine was going through a terrible time with his wife. He went out of town to a "topless bar" and then a massage parlor to get some "love" that he felt his wife wasn't giving him. He was killed on the way home in a tragic car accident. His wife felt awful, and she says she blames herself, ... but she did not tell him to get in the car and go anywhere...your mom may not have given your dad enough attention, but no one told him to drink. Leave the situation alone.

That is a tradgedy, but the truth is your dad drove himself to drink and drove himself into the swamp.Your dad had the chance to leave her at any time, and he chose to drink to cover up his pain. That may sound rough, but,we often make bad choices.
I hope you can make better choices than your parents.

you can leave it alone. People do what they do for different reasons, but your dad killed hisself by dwi. It sux, and even if your mom did that activity, it didnt mean he had to do his, he could have stood up, not been a victim and told her to quit or leave. But he didnt, so what should you do, heal first , then move on and love the only parent you have left, even with her faults, cause we all have them.

She is not responsible. He is. He drunk. He could have chosen not to drink. Your mom is reponsible for herself and they should have gotten a divorce.
