I used to go there pretty regularly and I had a banca that I sailed around the island. I usually flew in via Caticlan on a 4 seater from Manila. They had to shoo the animals off the runway. When the Bazzura bar went up it kinda cheapened the atmosphere of the place. I imagine it must be like Kuta beach or something these days.

If you like Ibiza in Spain... meaning if you go for a party beach... then that's what Boracay is like. Lots of parties at night, so residents and resort personnel have to do major clean ups every single morning. but its not heavily polluted as people say it is. Sure you get the occassional sea weed on the beach ... but hey, it is connected to the ocean you know!

Boracay is no longer the paradise as the early Europeans call it. It is now crowded with a market near the White Beach.
