Natural henna is safe for most people as it is a natural plant. Always check though as you can still be alergic to natural things.

Henna that is laced with chemicals used in hair dyes called ppds is very dangerous. you can get chemical burns, scarring, swelling and worse. Do a search for black henna ppd or check out easyhenna.com they have good tips on which henna is safe.

heh...any foreign substance introduced into your body can be dangerous. Tattooes are an expression of art that uses a needel of some sort to penetrate the skin and leave the ink in the middle layers, that a body never sheds.

Although Henna ink is biodegradeable and organic in comparison to the dyes of the corporate world *heh sorry I had to* people can still discover allergies to it or even get a "bad" batch. These are not common so do not think that everyone and everything involved is a danger.

henna tattooes can be drawn on like with a brush that stain the skin and others have even used Henna ink in the same way as permanent inks for the body. it is not likely a person will develop a problem from Henna, but it is something you should make sure you are aware of if a problems begins.

Henna comes from a tree and is totally natural, Hence, perfectly safe. In fact, not only is it safe for a tattoo but people also use it as a conditioner for hair and of course a natural way to color it.

Yes and no. When you use the red dye, it will be fine. But under no circumstance use the black henna. I gave this girl a reciepe for making your own. It is under the resolved questions, but if you would also like it, let me know. Right now it is too late to copy the whole thing down. I can even give you the reasons for not using the black. It can cause liver problems. There is another one, but right now can't remember without looking it up.
So hope this helps for now, but let me know if you want the reciepe also. Just e-mail me and I will be glad to do that for you. Have a nice night.
