How much Money should my girlfriend save?

My girlfriend is worried about her money going in to her first year in college. How much, in your opinion, will 2 semester's worth of books and dorm supplies cost?

Depends on where she goes to college. A good guess is if she is going to community college is 300. per credit and 75. to 100. per book. so if she takes 15 credits per quarter the she will need about 15000. per year. That is for both books and class cost. If she is going to a mayor college then you should figure that the cost is going to triple if not more per year.
I know you asked for just two semisters but thought that you might like a little more information.
