Mang, I'm 17 and I don't get my period. Ask your mother when she first got hers, she might have started at a later age.

RELAX!!! I see lots of girls your age that don't have their period yet. I was 15 when I started. Most girls start between the ages of 10 and 16, when your hormone levels finally regulate. Stress, weight and genetics often play a part. If you're really athletic, that can also delay your period. A young girl has to have 12% body fat or more to begin their menstrual cycle. So, kick back, relax and enjoy some chocolate without the menstrual cramps and bloated belly. Trust me, once you get it, you spend the rest of your life wishing it would go away! :)

Some girls start as early as 8 years old and some have been as late as 18! I've worked for doctors for 13 years and I've seen that happen a lot! 12 isn't too late at all honey.

Yes, a healthy girl can get her period anywhere between 11-13 years old. Are you underweight or very overweight, or have other health problems? This may affect your cycle and you should try and resolve any health problems.
I'm not a doctor, so if you are worried, ask your mom to take you to your family doctor.

sorry but I'm not a girl but what i do know is that it is all a matter of how much body fat your body has and you don't have a lot (in the future that'll be a good thing for you) but don't stress it either because girls have been known to get their periods at the age of 16 any further than that and you should see a doctor

First off... Don't listen to the person who said had the fat comment. (he said something like... In the future fat wont be good for you. Gosh, if only he was a woman and had to bear children!) Guys are such pig-heads!
I started mine when I was 12. My best friend started hers two years after me when she was 14. It's different for everyone! Don't worry, and if you have any questions, don't be shy to ask your doctor or school nurse. They are trained to help people just like you with questions like this.

I just answered a question about a girl who is 14 and hasn't gotten hers yet. YES it is normal. It could come any day now however, so be prepared by carrying a pad with you and wearing a liner.

I was 11 when I started mine. If you don't have it by the time you are 13 go to the OBGYN. In the mean time.....enjoy it while it lasts! It is not fun!

You situation is completely normal. Every girl will be different. You may have friends who have already started menstruating but don't stress. It will start in due time.
