We have a 5 month old and a 20 month old. I used to feel guilty about staying at home and not bringing in money. But now I know how hard the work is and wonder how much my husband should contribute after working a full day. I know he works hard too and don't want to make him feel like he's not contributing.

you should tell him how lucky you feel to have a man take care of his family. Tell him how much he is helping his children grow up beautifully not in day care. He should be involved but help him out a little. Even though he is the one who leaves for work everyday, don't forget you are working harder at home. You should get out once in a while and give him the responsibility of the children. It will be good for the whole family.

I think that he would WANT to contribute a lot, even if he gets tired like hell. After all, they're his kids, too. I mean, it's not as if he's doing you a favour by working and earning. He loves you and his kids and he would want to take care of the family.

He should help all he can even though he works ..... I was working 12 to 14 hours a day when my daughter was little and still made time to do things daily to help out on the upbringing of my daughter. Working is no excuse for not helping take care of his child.

Yeah he should help out you gave birth to the baby. He should wake up with you to help during the time of recovery. I was up in the wee hours with my son when my wife was waking up. Let him rest PWAAALEEEZ. if any one should rest its the mom!
