why does America not do this?

Question

put every country on notice through out the world to have free elections with in 1 year... or the U.S. would remove their power structure and initiate a U.N. voting system to decide a new government... each country would get to choose it's form of government, be it theocracy, democracy, republic, monarchy or communist in type..... the only diufference would be that every ten years the people would have to make a faith in goverment vote... where by they could decide to change again...

why do we not do such a thing? would not the whole world be free? to live how they want? could more time not be spent on problems like hunger?

I take it no one read the question... that the people of said governments would chose the style and type of government that ruled them...

and to say who gave America the right to make such a request of the world...

we run the U.N. anyway... pay for it's offices... own the very land it sits on.... and not to mention wrote it's charter...

and why does everyone here have such a horrible opinion of being free to chose your government... and why does everyone here think it would be soooo horrible to be free?

and alot of people metioned that America should mind it's own business... so we should let the dictators of the world, the war lords, the evil... just go on about it's business... of killing and opression... just sit back over here in safe land while others are suffering... thats right America mind your own business, let the world go to hell and just sit back eating hamburgers and watching mel gibson.... I say it's every man's business... why his brother is not free. and I know of no man on the planet that would not want the choice to chose his own government...

I think that as usual.. America's worst enemy... is it's own detractors within... the USA Haters.... that walk it's own streets...

where would the world be if America had not fought in the World Wars? if they had minded their own business... everyone would be speaking German or Japanese...

The United States has neither the power nor authority to take such an action. And if the UN were under the control of the US than the US would be the ultimate power and whoever would be running the govenment would be the most powerful man in the world. That individual would have to be someone of great character or else (which is more likely) they would just dominate the world. War would break out before it got to this point anyway.

So the US Has free elections does it? Let me say this. If a person in the US ran for president, had all the solutions to solve social, economic and international problems, was as honest as the day is long, but there was one problem...... no money!! Under America`s warped political system they would`nt have a prayer of getting into power. The problem with the American government ramming it`s prefered brand of distorted,corporate based democracy down the throats of other countries around the world, is the fact that America itself, is a non democratic country. look at Iraq, the people want a just, and trustworthy, dependable,honest leader to help nurture their culture, keep them safe and allow them to live the way that a human should, whether that leader is a king,president, prime minister, pope or whatever is of no importance. That is what a citizen in any country has the right to expect. America cannot provide this standard of life to it`s own people let alone to the people of an entirely different country. I suggest you think again my friend.

Well there is obviously so much wrong with this idea... but to answer your question:
America will not do that because it does not have the right to take over complete countries and bully their governments into hosting free elections. Also, the process would be so saturated with curruption by both the US and the host country that the new governments would not stand a chance against the countless rebellions and secrect agendas that would be tearing it apart.
Oh yeah, and no one with any sense would support any such acts, so it could never even begin to happen.

I cant decide if you're serious or kidding.
In case you're serious, the reasons are way to many to counts, but here are just some of them:
- The USA is not the policeman of the world, and has no friggin right to tell anyone how to run thier country.
- Even if the USA did this thing, how would the USA enforce it? Start a war against the world? Guess who will win. (hint: the answer is not the USA).
- People can not be free to live the way they want if the USA is telling them when to have elections.
- This will not bring an end to world hunger, I can't even understand how you made that leap from global elections to end of world hunger.

Because there are many countries that call themselves a democratic country but are full of corruption. You cannot trust the government because most of the times govt's officials are involve in this type of corruption such as in Mx, Venezuela, Cuba.....etc. Also the US cannot go against all these countries because this would just add to the number of enemies it already has... it wouldn't be a smart choice.
PLUS the U.N. doesn't have much power as we could see by North Korea and Iran's actions......

Because america doesnt rule the world and has no right to impose thier beliefs on how things should be done in other countries, especially by killing the inhabitants. Let me ask you this... What would america do if another country like Canada tried to imposed a similar law, about gun control? I am quite sure america would freak out and start screaming about thier right to bear arms.... I mean how would you feel if another country said "do this or we will take over your government"?? It isnt right, america should mind its own business, and stop imposing on others.

The answer to your seemingly complex question is very simple: It would be morally and ethically wrong. While democracy obviously works for America, it is not conducive to all cultures. Society is too complex to pigeonhole that way. You might like peanut butter and you may think the guy next to you will enjoy it as well, but he may have an allergic reaction to it, you know?

Because we are all lazy assesss. ima heck of one. If we did that, we will be in wars with the countries that have their dignity. No matter what we do there will be somebody who disagrees and will start sumtin' up. I dont know what im saying because i am sleepy as helll.

because there are to many people that would mess being free up to. they would take advantage of everything. then you would be asking why is this such a free country. i think you free as long as you don't do anything stupid. and there would be way more murderers and child molesters. i wouldnt want that would you.

There are very evil, money-hungry people in power at the moment. People who have their grips on key resources, no matter what. The action you are calling for would make many greedy people very angry when they loose assets. I really would love to see that happen. You have some really amazing ideas. Don't stop spreading them!
