Can Arsenal "survive" among top three at end of season, especially with the influx from Seria A, of top players to "money" clubs in the Premiership?

Arsenal are going to do very well: Rosicky is a great buy, and if they manage to get Appiah (and Buffon it was rumoured a while ago) they could challenge Chelsea.

However they need a back-up in central defence; Senderos is out for the beginning of the season. If they could trade Ashely Cole for William Gallas that would make them very very strong at the back and give them the freedom to run rampant up front.

However I think Spurs will pose a much stronger challenge this year. If they manage to sign Duff, they will have a team that could compete for the top 3 places. They have a young team that can only get better. If Berbatov can start on the right foot, they will be challenging at the top.

Liverpool has reinforced and will be a force; however a lot depends on how quickly their new central defender fits.

Man Utd is going downhill at the moment, so they are likely to be out of the race for automatic Champions League Qualification. Losing Ruud Van Nistelrooy and not replacing Keane will do them in. I can't understand why they are not pursuing Appiah. They are the ones who could benefit the most from the Serie A sale, but it seems the better players do not want to join them. Even if Viera joins them I do not believe he can do a job similar to Keane.

Chelsea is even stronger than last year.

I see a battle at the top between the 3 London clubs with advantage to Chelsea; Arsenal and Spurs to battle for second. If Appiah is signed the advantage to Arsenal, else advantage to Spurs.

Arsenal have a good chance if they can get Sendros back.... there is no doubt in the world that Arsenal play the best free flowing football in the world, but at the back they are suspect, especially with Cole Leaving! I fear if they don't get soem good old fashioned defenders in soon then they may struggle for 5th again. But with Rosicky, Hleb, ljunberg, gilberto, Henry etc etc they will rip teams apart.

Don't forget it's a new stadium that they need to turn into a fortress, it's not home yet!! so my prediction is Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Portsmouth, Westham!

The chances for the gunners is always good.

Remember that last year was the first time under Arsene Wenger that they finished outside the top 2.

They are buying well and have some good plans, but (and it is a big but) will the Emirates be like "Fortress Highbury" for them next year.

I give them a 1 in 4 chance of winning

Arsenal have a chance of 20-25% to win the Premiership....this is because there is other teams such as Manutd, Chelsea, or even Liverpool that has a better shot...
Arsenal could possibly finish 3rd

Think there will be a great fight in the top four this year. Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool will be a lot closer than the last two years. Rosicky will be a great signing and the only problem may be at left back with the possible absence of Ashley Cole.

Maybe they'll be inspired by Cashburton Grove, the reason why they aren't a money club.

Still Rosicky is a gr8 signing and, playing alongside Fabregas, will be a huge influence this season.

The only real world class players will come from Juventus. How many gr8 players play for Fiorentina and Milan r still in the Serie A.

I still rate Chelsea with Ballack and Shevchenko in their vast ranks.
