I am not an Indian, but I may be making more of an observation that providing an answer. It sounds liek you have found many Indians answering questions, which indicates they are being helpful. That I trust you are pleased about.
Indian people are increasingly in positions of thought leadership in Western Society. It is rare to find a top technology company revolutionizing the science of a particular industry where there is not significant Indian individuals or resources playing a part.
I suspect the reasons are several. They have fantastic educational systems, and some of their Universities are ranked higher than Stanford, Oxford and the Ivy League. They take education quite seriously, and they come from a large country, where poverty is rampant and the best way for an average family to get ahead is through academics. It is therefore very competitive, and many remark that they find the greatest learning institutions of the US and Europe unchallenging.
Not to stereotype, but I have never met an Indian person who is lazy, dimwitted or silly in any way. They seem to live deliberately, they seem to be happy, and they seem to be calm. I respect their culture and their way of being, and especially respect their contribution to modern society. In a world of growing aggression, tension and terrorism, I think the Indians have a good set of values.
But hey, that's just an observation.

Maybe because there over 1 billion Indian people in the world.
About three times as many in the USA.

One of the big reason is becasue india is very tech companies and well alot of them can afford to by computers and they are doing the samething you are doing on here... Surprised? The may speak a different language but they mostly the same as us... maybe not in all beliefs.. but they like the internet as much as we do.. Good way to meet people:)

i think you are bored and decided to show your racism or you just wanna see what type of ~cool~ funny~dumb~ answers you get for asking this. Im not indian fyi so don't think thats why my answer is a little edgy. just remember something might be funny to you but it can seriously insult others even if you don't mean to. immaturity is annoying in my opinion.

There are alot of Indian people in yahoo answers because they are being outsourced by the Americans. Duh. Read, "The World is Flat" then you'll understand.
