I know the news has most of Europe grumbling about us, but how do regular citizens of other countries feel about the USA? Not what Americans have heard people think, but sincere answers from others.

For those of you who do not like our foreign policy, I can see your point of view, but please remember it is by that same policy that I would gladly send my four sons to Europe's front door if you were ever invaded by say, china or russia. Overly patriotic or not, we believe democracy and liberty are worth dying for, even yours. If it is truth, than it is truth for all.

I can't say that i agree with many of the USA's policies, especially foreign in regards to the Iraq war. I do not like George Bush and I don't agree with basically anything he has done as your president.

I don't think the American people are bad, just think that the government is quite misguided. Although we sometimes get the feeling that you guys think that you are better and superior to everyone else.... Thats not necessarily true, but we get that feeling.

America and Americans are generally great. Yes, there are some Americans who could be classified as belonging to the "Land of the freak and the home of the depraved," but they are only a small percentage. Majority are law-abiding and honest citizens. They are not biased. They accept people for what they are. American companies are well-known for giving generous salaries and "above board" dealings. Unlike the Chinese, who give very low salaries but always ready to give "grease money" to authorities. Generally, the local and foreign policy is okay, too, unless you are a terrorist or a leftist. In the Philippines, the Anti-US people are always making a loud noise, but you only have to look at the long line of US-Visa applicants to see the true sentiments of the Filipinos.

I believe the USA is the greatest country in the world! I believe that because we have the Bill of Rights that assures us of free speech, and 9 more. I've pasted a site here with our Bill of Rights for you to read:
http://usinfo.state.gov/usa/infousa/facts/funddocs/billeng.htm

Only in America are we free to travel without fear of reprisal, women have equal rights of men at most jobs, senior citizens are highly regarded, infant mortality rate has declined, we can make as much money as we want to and not be penalized, we can own any car we wish, we are free to change insurance policies as often as we wish, children are well protected in comparison to other countries, government has rules they must follow in order to enact laws, and only in America can we sleep as late as we want to and not fear being awaken by the government telling us to get up. I think we take all our freedoms for granted. Only in America are we free to go buy a sno cone on a hot day, or run out to an ice cream truck and buy ice cream if we have the money. I'm posting this here even though you ask for non residents of the USA but I want them to know what one USA citizen believes about the USA.

I confess I am American. Like it is some kind of crime. The world loves my country when we help bail them out. Hitler, Malosovich, Communist USSR, tsunamis, earthquakes. Then they hate us and support terrorism. WAKE UP WORLD! The terrorists can't easily hit my country or they would have done it long ago. Europe and Asia are easy targets.

The day will come when my country has had enough of being abused by the world. Then the world can deal whackos themselves after they become nuclear. ASIA had better deal with North Korea NOW. They are more of a threat to you than they are to me. Europe better deal with radical Islam NOW. It is more of a threat to you than to me...

I being an IT professional from india, USA is like the promised land to me. My only disappointment is with the bush administrations invasion in the middle east region. When iraqi's defend them self, they are terrorist, and when Israel attacked lebnon last week, President Bush says, Israel has a right to protect itself, by killing 150 people from lebnon(official figure....actual no is much higher) for the capture of two isreali soilders.
