I belive your subconscious and semi conscious mind is picking up on clues and facts that our conscious mind isn't aware of thus looking like intuition and fortune telling. I have been around a lot of people who weren't aware of little details that I was smart enough to pick up on, then they couldn't figure out how I knew something.

Intuition can be described in various ways and to different degrees. Many are nothing more than personal experiences of the past. You come to expect certain things to happen if and when you notice present conditions are similar to a previous event. People's attitudes and behavior often predict what they're going to do, or try to do. Reputation is also part of the intuitive ability to predict what someone will do..

As for an intuition that predicts future events, it isn't any more reliable than using a crystal ball. You make forecasts based on experience, knowledge and conditions as they occur, why they occur and the effects they may have if they do occur.

Here's something for you to think about - People who seem to be able to accurately tell if something is going to happen without any apparent knowledge to support their reason for their intuition are usually more observant of what's going on around them, and pay more attention to details.
