my friend has this yeast infection . what the best treament for her to use, that she can buy in a drugs store, she is afraid to go to a doctor

just go to a pharmacy and I am sure they have stuff there to treat it especially in the feminine hygene section they should definitely have stuff, if you got a 24 hour wal mart near by you go there hope that helps you actually yeah you know what?n second thought just talk your friend in to going to a doctor because it could be something more serious

She has to go to a doctor. Not all over-the-counter medications can effectively treat a yeast infection if that's even what it is. It may look like a yeast infection, but could be something else more serious. If your friend wants to have babies in the future she should go to a doctor, there's no reason to be scared! We've all been there!!!!

I agree about her going to the doctor. Why would she be afraid to go for a simple yeast infection. Maybe theres more to it than that. A yeast infection is a nasty, thick, cottage cheese like discharge. It usually itches and has a really bad odor. Get it checked out anyway. But if you dont want to go to the doc. then buy Monastat 7day treatment. ! answer was incorrect. VAGASIL is not for yeast. That is only for femanin hygene cleanser.

If she has never had it checked it might not be a yeast infection! She should NOT be afraid to go to a doctor. Help her with that first!! The pharmacist in the drug store may be helpful.
Eating the yogurt is helpful - not applying it! SEE? You need to get her to a clinic!!

Well, first thing is first, She reallly needs to go to the doctor, but being as she is similar to Me, in not liking or wanting to go to the doctor, Then go to the store, and get some yogurt. any flavor. Eat a few a day, until it clears up, if it doesn't clear up with in the first few days, then a doctors visit has to be made. Yogurt has cultures and enzymes in it to help fight off yeast infections.

There is a cream medication at any store like Walmart that sells a medication called VAGISIL and its a 7 day treatment and some have a 3 day treatment- but I prefer the 7 day treatment cuz then u r sure its treated better and properly!!!! Walmart- and drug stores sell it and you do not have to be over 18 to buy it!!! Good luck

Best treatment is a pessary - it is a tablet that is inserted into the vagina and you can buy it readily at a chemist. My mum also says to sit in a bath and pour yogurt onto the area, as it combats the yeast infection. She has been doing it for years!

has she had a yeasty beasty before? if not she may be mis-diagnosing herself. there are plenty of treatments available at the drug store. the 1 day cures aren't always effective, id go with a 3 or 7 day. if she gets the 1 day, get a name brand. the monostat 1 combination pack is pricey but it has the inner cure in a little egg that dissolves so you don't have to measure messy creams and it has a outer cream to control itch. good luck to your "friend"

Go to Wal-Mart and look in the feminine care aisle. You can find all kinds of treatments. All of them work the same. You can get diff ones that have shorter usage periods, but they cost more. You pretty much have a million choices, but they are all the same.
