i have a wart on my finger and i have tried all kinds of treatments....does anyone have any suggestions?

I had a few too, and tried everything... the way that worked best I found out by accident.

The liquid wart stuff never worked for me.. and the freeze away stuff is definetly a waste of money.

Soak your wart, scrape it or file it or pick it.. I used to use little nail clippers to pick at it because once its soaked it doesnt hurt unless you go too deep. Put a band aid on it. Just a regular bandaid. Keep it on there for a couple days. Then let it air out overnight and the next day do the same thing. That was the way mine went away.. and it worked fairly fast.

* How to Get Rid of a Wart *

If you are burdened by the embarrassment of a common wart on your hand, then this information will give you basic steps on how to help get rid of it. Warts are frustrating as they are difficult to treat and do not have a definite cure. But this basic knowledge and these helpful hints will allow for quicker disappearance.

Steps
Soak the wart for 10-15 minutes in warm salt water to moisten the skin.
Scrape the wart as much as can be tolerated, scraping off the dead skin layers of the wart. Objects that make good scrapers are a nail file, a pumice stone (often used for foot calluses), mild sandpaper, or the edge of a butter knife. If nothing else, use fingers to pick at the wart, removing as much of the raised dead skin as possible. Soak and scrape the wart before any of the following treatments are used, as this will allow better and deeper penetration of medications/treatments applied. Irritating a wart is a good thing, it helps your immune system start to get rid of the wart.
Use salicylic acid. This is the ingredient of most over the counter wart remover remedies. Any over the counter remedy with this ingredient is good when used on a repetitive basis, as directed. Salicylic Acid is a blistering agent that will aggravate the wart. A really good product for this is Ocusal; apply it using the brush, then wait for it to dry. Leave it for a day. You can either peel or file it off and then file remaining dead skin.
Apply strips of duct tape to wart for one day, then peel tape off, which should pull off some wart layers. Do this as much as possible.
Freeze the wart. Over the counter medications exist that freeze the wart. Used as directed, these are very effective.
Try to burn it off. Be very careful not to burn too much skin. Light a wooden match, blow it out, while the match head is still hot, touch it to the wart. This is obviously a mild blistering effect that will initiate a healing response.
Rub the peel of a banana on it once a day and it should disappear. It may take longer, but is cheap. You will also become healthier by eating a banana a day.

Tips
You can apply several layers of Ocusal, but wait for the previous layer to dry first.

Warnings
Do not use any of these treatments on irritated skin, on any area that is infected or reddened, on moles, on birthmarks, on warts with hair growing from them, on genital warts, on warts on the face, on warts on mucous membranes such as inside the mouth, nose, anus, genitals, or lips.

well you wont like the idea of this answer but it worked for my husband. He had a huge wort on his arm and i took peroxide, q tips and a rasor blade to it !! Cut it plum out. took two trys to get it all cause when you cut a wart it bleeds alot. but it worked he dont even have a scar. note: this tactic works best when done by some one else and your asleep. ask some one you trust to do it for you, take a few sleeping pills lay down and go to sleep and you'll wake up wort free. if they are gental about it you wont feel much cause theres really no nerves "in" the wort. so if they just cut "it" out they wount actually be cutting you. remember for them not to touch it or the "seeds" in it can transfer to them once they are out of you. and also have plenty of clean paper towels to catch the blood. rap it in a boo boo aid and all better. KEY IS to get all those seeds out.
