When my friend clicks on IE on his Mac, the browser opens up in the Macintosh Home page. I told him on a pc, he can have any website on the internet as his homepage. Is it possible to change the home page on a Mc.

Yes it is.

If you're using Internet Explorer on OS 9, do the following:

1. Start Internet Explorer.

2. Click Click Edit → Preferences on the menu bar.

3. Under "Web Browser" click on Browser Display. If you now look at the options to your right, you can enter a new url in the "Address" input field. Once you're done, click OK to save changes.

For Internet Explorer 5.2 on OS X, do the following:

1. Start Internet Explorer.

2. Click Explorer → Preferences on the main menu.

3. Follow step 3 above.

TIP: In step 3, if you can't see the options under "Web Browser", click on the little arrow to reveal the options.

To change the home page on Safari (the standard web browser for OS X), do the following:

1. Start Safari.

2. Click Safari → Preferences on the main menu.

3. Select the "General" option on the top-left. Use the input field next to "Home page" to enter a new web address and then hit the enter key on your keyboard to confirm.
