C++ is an extension of C. It includes classes which is similar to struct and other object orientation concepts. A good book for C++ for beginers is Complete Referene inC++ by Herbert Schmidt. C++ is a programming language, but I don't know what you want from it. There are some sites that can help. I've found that game development sites are really good for learning principles, because you can have fun while programming. Try www.gamedev.net or do a search for C++ programming sites.
