To me...stem cells are donated...much like soldiers "donating" their lives...the point i'm trying to make is that.

if we can allow soldiers to enlist into the military, then why can't we let people donate stem cells.

Who are we to tell a soldier not to enlist into the military? also, who are we to tell a donator not to donate?

My friend, we can have stem cell research. :)

There are two easy ways and one hard way for the U.S to have stem cell research.

The first easy way is to find a whole bunch of private funding for stem cell research. I believe that the whole 'veto' thing has to do with a bill that would allow federal funding, not actually allow or prevent people from doing the research if they have the money.

The second easy way is to just wait. Bush will be gone in a couple of years and a real president will take his place.

The hard way is to lobby like mad and hope to change the minds of those who didn't vote to override the veto. Then reintroduce the bill with slightly different wording. Vote it in, have him veto it, and then override the veto. Ah, the government process in action.

Love as always,

Sebastian

The government has been doing stem cell research for a while now. They already know the dangers of continuing the practice. They use the religious reasons to not use stem cell research as they do with the war. People will die in the name of religion, either way. The reality, stem cell manipulation, in the wrong hands, could do a tremendous amount of harm to the world. To the government, life isn't precious enough to save. Its all a matter of the here and the now.

The government does not send people to "die" in war, The government sends troops to FIGHT in war. Which are the troops decision when they sign their enlistment contract, to fight for something they believe in or whatever their reason maybe it. Think about the circumstances, this is a time of war on terror. The government has been researching on stem cells and it will take much further research. It is in the process, would you like to be a lab rat and test if it works? I know some unfortunate people would, but from what I've heard on the news and such it is not near ready.

check out an adobe paper called mind control and child abuse ,in www.infowars.

there has been for a long time ,research going on that makes stem cell research look like winney the pooh,
called scarring the stem ,so that the brain is tortured into operating on different levels at the same time.on live victims,

what you are told and what really happens ,are different planets,

Think about your question. Soldiers choose to go to war. No one makes the choice for them. It is not stem cell research that is the problem, it is the method of obtaining stem cells for research. An unborn child has not given consent to being murdered. A soldier has chosen to go to war with the realization that it might cost him his life.

The two are not closely related but... science will more than likely always be voted down or ridiculed by people who are ignorant to it. War/fighting is an activity the most basic of people partake in especially when it involves territory or money. In essence, a country will go to war before it helps people through research.

homo homine lupus
*Man is the wolf of the man Thousand of years and people never learn we can make a better world for everyone but people choose to kill each other people can build but people rather to destroy people can have peace but people choose war it seems humanity have an evil and a good nature but sadly people choose evil nature we are our worst enemies and the principal danger for ourselves we are smart but between more smart we are we become more dangerous it is so sad how the human Gifts are used for harming and not for healing
**A good purpose not give the right to play with life cell research must be limited by the respect of life an embryo is a human being life begins in the moment of fecundation and life in any stage must be respected and protected and not treated like a lab animal harming and killing other never justify any progres of any type

Ok, I think that question is a bad one. War is to protect your country. So far it is not even as war now, it is a clean up after the messy Sadam, stemcell research is not the same. It should not even be in the same sentence with war. Stemcell reserch could be a national killer you and I can not prodict the future.

War is bad enough...why escalate massacre to a new frontier?!
Scientific research is a must . But ethics and respect for life should be the guiding spirit. Define laws for stemcell research URGENTLY let there be no grey areas. Peace.

because the government has a screwed up system its OK to send people to die but to find a way to bring people back(i guess you could say that) would be wrong and un human like its OK to test on animals because they cant speak for themselves but to test someone with knowledge and who are able to talk is wrong. And its probably cause they are looking in to it they just don't want us to no about it they hide stuff from us cause there scared to let us no whats really going on.
