He played gay and attended a few gay pride events but he is too much of a minor celeb to care either way.

In my humble opinion, he very well could be. He is at least 40 years old, and an actor. To my knowledge, he's never been married. Actors/actresses (in general) have women and men all over them constantly, and they are bound to find some one they like well enough to marry for a year or so. So, it's a possibility. This is just my point of view, though.

No, he just played a gay character in the movie Jeffrey. It is called acting.
Just like when Anne Hecht acted when she dated Ellen.
