I just have one simple question from American and Israeli citizens. How do you feel when you see innocent women and children being killed in Lebanon and Palestine? I wonder how killing of children and women can be justified! Do Israelis ever ask their government why innocent civilians should be bombed? Have American people ever asked why their government support brutal acts of Israel in Lebanone and Palestine? How do you feel when your son or daughter suffers from let's say a minor toothache? Don't you wish you, as a parent, were the one suffering and not your child? How can you stand killings of others children? Think about it!

Excuse me, but how are they "backing" them? So far, it's between Hezbollah and Israel.

I feel the same way, when I see innocent women and children killed in Israel. Lebanon allows these dog's to use it's land and border's to launch attacks against Israel. Israel does have the right as in country does to defend it's self. If Palestine and Lebanon will not police there own land, then Israel must, to protect it's self. No one wants to see this, world wide other government's and people, would much rather see the countries working together. What a waist, of human life. We wish no harm on anyone in the region. To many resources are used in the area in relief of the displaced. Resources that could be used for natural disasters. I believe that the Palestinians and Lebanese people want peace, but there government's want as Hitler did to exterminate the Jew's. How sad.

This is a much deeper question than it appears to be on the surface.

The simple answer of why we are allowing these attacks, is that the U.S. Government (and a lot of it's citizens) believe that the Hezbolah (sp?) group is a terrorist organization, responsible for multiple terrorist activities against U.S. interests and even U.S. citizens. Our hope (or so it appears) is that Israel will be able to put a stop to this group once and for all.

While it doesn't put much of a positive spin on war or death, I do know that Israel is following a classic 'good guy' strategy in their attacks by alerting the citizens in an area if they can that there is going to be an attack, sticking to military oriented targets to minimize deaths, and doing their best to resolve the matter quickly.

And again, knowing that this doesn't put any sort of positive light into the fact that deaths are happening over there, it does appear that this whole thing was brought on by a group within Lebanon that kidnapped Israeli soldiers and even killed some as well.

I'll be one of the first in line in a protest against killing or death or war or for that matter anything that causes harm, discomfort, unhappiness or misery to others, but this does seem to be something that has been coming for some time.

I truly hope that it can be resolved quickly and that we can then start the process of rebuilding cities, lives, and relationships.

Love as always,

Sebastian

US isn't backing Israel. It only does no longer something mutually as Israel is doing despite it needs to realize this as to stay to tell the story as a rustic. What united states of america will stay to tell the story if it does not do something whilst its electorate and squaddies are killed and abducted with the aid of enemies? Israel does not like killing civilians, yet because Hezbollah strongholds are deeply entrenched interior the final Lebanese society, civilian casualties are inevitable. It does not want to salary conflict with the Lebanese government, the two. surely, in a fashion, they are assisting the Lebanese government enforce U.N. Council CY 2000 decision in (disarming Hezbollah.)

I blame Hezbollah for trying to shield themselves within civilian areas. If they were less cowardly than to fire rockets over the border at Israeli civilian targets then run away, maybe I could have more respect for them.

If the Lebanese want to be left alone, all they need to do is round up all the Hezbollah leaders and sympathizers and turn them over to Israel - this whole spat would be over really quickly.

The problem is not what Israel is doing now to protect themselves but Why does hezbollah, hamas, and the plo continue to kill the women and children of Israel. Where is your outrage against them. The arabs have been killing the Jewish people for over 60 years now and when Israel trys to defend themselves they are wrong.

Farshid, it's hopeless. As general mainstream arabs, we (assuming that you are middle eastern) open our minds, stay calm, don't act vulgar, and really truly honestly try to see the other side of the situation. But the other side is full of hate and greed. You're going to get tons of replys telling you how evil they think middle eastern people are. But we're just too tired to keep the debate going. Nobody is listening. If "Isreal" is going to "defend" itself, then it is the Arab responsibility to defend itself.

**By the way***
As far as I know, there was no Hezbollah hiding in that orphanage that Isreal bombed yesterday.

How would you feel if someone wanted to wipe you and your children off the face of the earth? How would you feel if your children were in a concentration camp? I deplore killing of anyone and mostly children but it is imperative we look at the whole picture HONESTLY.
