It's always possible someone is just spoofing your e-mail address. Someone doesn't necessarily have to have access to your e-mail account or server, in order to send messages using your e-mail address as the sender's address.

I'm sure you have a pretty good idea of who is doing it....usually people don't bother to hack into another person's yahoo email address unless they know the person. It's not hard to get into a person's account. All you need to know are their date of birth and zip code. So if you are dating someone or you have recently pissed someone off and they know that info about you then maybe that's the culprit. Regardless, I suggest you either delete the account and just open a new one and THIS TIME make sure your date of birth is off by a day or two so they can't guess it and get your password. https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user this link will send you to the Account deletion page. you have to sign into your account first. Or if you just type in Delete Yahoo Account into the Yahoo Search Engine it will bring up how to do it.

Contact the e-mail provider, explain the problem and provide evidence that u r not the one sending those emails...ask them to disable that account and get a new one.

Also, there might be a key-stroke logger installed on ur system that might log ur key-strokes, chk for malware or spyware on ur machine...

Moreover, for next time...make ur password complex -- mix of numbers, alphabets and special characters and never reveal it to anybody, don't write it and keep it in ur wallet...instead keep it in ur head.

Hope this helps and good luck!

You may have malware or a virus that has hijacked your email address to turn your computer into a zombie mailer. You should scan your computer for malware using Spybot Search and Destroy, AdAware and a decent anti virus program like AVG. These programs are free from the net. Download them from the net using the links below, good luck!

rather then using an easy password like "password" try using more complicated words. Things that have nothing to do with your life at all.

for example

~tes@t#@pa^%s

just have fun with the letters, symbols, and numbers
also dont keep it on your harddrive
try to remember it, or write it on a piece of paper and stick it in a hidden area where only you know where and what it is.

Hope that helps ;)
