you know, i was like you when i was studying... got honors/medals every year, plaques, winning at school IQ competitions... until i reach my teen years... i realize that, intelligence has its price... i could never have real friends (and i mean, "real") and enjoy my growing-up years if i did stay that way... so i devise a way, by changing my study habit... it did affect my studies but i gained friends and i enjoyed my high school years that way.... and thru college, i have to rely to my good old intelligence again coz it would be the basis of who'd i become in the future... and so here am i right now, earned my bachelor's degree & masteral degree.had my fun during my "teenie" years, gained friends, and still came out alright....

my answer: be the best of what you can be... enjoy your life while young... that's the age of adventure, of discovering things, of having good ole fun... but never forget your studies too... as long as you attain passing grades, and know your limitations in controlling yourself (exam week - hit the books; forget the "playing around"). just do what you think would suit you in the eys of your friends and in the eyes of your parents. learn to balance between leisure and studies... believe me, you'd enjoy it better that way...

For me, nothing's more relieving than being true to yourself. Most people tend to hide their dark sides and mask them with good ones. It may be pleasing to the people around you but the question is.... "Are you happy?"
Self complascence can never be achieved through masquerading - in fact, its the opposite!
