Wonderful movie. Keep an eye out for Hedwig star John Cameron Mitchell's upcoming film SHORTBUS.
Triumph of HEDWIG is that you actually find yourself caring for this vain, depressed, megalomaniacal character by the time it's all over. Genius.

Yes, I was introduced to it from my comparative literature class and I really liked the movie. Loved the songs, the artistic filming, and the makeups (had no clue the beard guy was a girl until the very end......)
