Girls wear clothes that show off too much - don't they have respect for their bodies?

There's a difference between being proud of your body and respecting your body. I have what you would consider a nice body, but there is a way to show off your body without showing too much. Why do girls think that by showing off more body parts that they look better?

i agree
like look at the music videos there wearing nothing
i think that if you are goin to be naked just do it
i have respect for my body
but i dont mind showing it off to my camera and to someone speical
but there is a line between being sluty and sexy
and my photos are sexy
haha
but i hate when i see a girl and the skirt she is wearing is showing her A** and a shirt that cant really be found
that looks like a girl that stands on the corner here in vegas
respect yourself and stop with the barely there clothes and cover up

i can't agree more with you. it's not about the clothes that are being worn, but about civility, decency, knowing how to treat others, decorum, courtesy, etiquette.

i think the main reason is because of the technology that surrounds us, the speed of modern day life, and also the movies, music and the media. the images that are shown to us in the media. there are very few positive role models these days.

bad behaviour, foul language, violence, crassness, overall vulgarity, and obsession with sex seems to be the order of the day.

i do miss the days when people were civil to each other and had manners. even as recent as 10 years ago, i think people were much better then and had greater civility.

but we do have a choice i feel. i choose only to have manners and civility and not partake of this modern day vulgarity that is endemic. and i also choose those that have those positive qualities as my friends.

I always say, if you dont like what you see then dont look! simple as that! i mean theres nothing wrong with feeling beautiful and being proud of your body. hey, if you got it, flaunt it

im sure you could hear that comment in 16th century victorian london too... and im sure 20 years from now your kids will be saying the same thing about their kids.

its one of those things that gets said for every generation... such as, "when i was a kid, we never had it that easy..."
