How deliciously flippant!
But I think that if we were to administer the coup de grace to really stupid people, we wouldn't be putting them out of their misery. We'd be putting them out of OUR misery--which of course, is a thing that THEY cause!

But you know what? I don't agree with the whole coup de grace thing, becasue we're in the middle of a national deficit now. Rather than put them out of any misery at all, we should just tax them. Tax the stupid people. I mean, we've got liquor taxes, tobacco taxes, INCOME taxes, so why not kill two birds with one stone and have a stupidity tax too.

This may sound really discriminatory, but as I see it, there are DISTINCT differences between stupidity and ignorance, or stupidity and the true conditon of being a medically/psychologically categorized moron or idiot. Those who are mentally challenged would/should be exempt from the stupidity tax, especially since people make the choice to be stupid, just as people choose to smoke and drink.

I've always thought there should be mandatory sterilization for stupid people...but where would that line be drawn and who would determine what level of stupidity and in what subjects.

I know plenty of brilliant people with NO commonsense and plenty of people with no book smarts that have oodles of commonsense. Of course I think of myself as having both, but who says I wouldn't fall short of the line. What if it is based on your ability to complete a series of complex mathematical equations...well, I'd just be screwed. If it was based upon useless knowledge perfect for trivia games, well, I might be at the top of the chain.

I finally decided that I can not play god no matter how annoyed I become. I'll leave it up to natural selection...the weak and the dumb die out.
