Your sentence is as subtle as a poke in the eye, by turned on i would suppose you mean attracted to, the melancholy state expressing sad spirits, showing a peering timid impish manner would draw attention, ones incentive would be to open up your sadness, trying to re tune the cosmic octaves which keep your time signature of life in check, whether the melancholy state expresses sad eyes of the weeping of tears slowly falling from your face or stoic stature i would hope your need for having someone turned on would unfold unless it is blindness which would hold back a man's desire to hold you and comfort you, and say to you, you are my dream, you are my heart, my love who has been hiding from yourself. Not me! I'm currently married to a woman who suffers from depression and schizophrenia! Nothing to sexy about it! It's made my life a struggle at best. As a result, I'm not the least bit turned on!

It would depend on what she was melancholic about.
Life in general?....sure, she could put her head on my shoulder, and I could comfort her.
Past relationships?....forget it.
Our baby used to get colic from eating melons.
We called her our "Melon-colicky Baby" (Melancholy Baby).
