I have a laptop with a partitioned hard-drive, Is there a way i can easily change the amount of memory on each drive?

buy norton partition magic. that is the best way to go about. otherwise you will have to reformat and reinstall the operating system

abhi_srm is correct. Frankly, I wouldn't mess with it.

My son re-partitioned his drive and now is trying to restore using original install disks and it won't let him because of the partitition change.

use third party software ...partition magic is good one.
