.....WHY IN THE WORLD would any moviegoer want to see Jack and Liz get together in POTC 3???!!
It's a ridiculous notion first of all: THINK ABOUT IT
1) The music playing when Liz kisses Jack is very sad and sinister (NOT the same "happy kissing" music as when Will kissed Liz)
2) Why would Disney waste a whole film (POTC 1) dedicated to the romance of Liz and Will if they werent going to let the love survive even in POTC 3.
3) If Will doesnt get with Liz, who would you suggest he end up with? Tia Dalma?? (remember she's a funky dredlock woman)
4) PLUS: In WHAT life would Jack Sparrow ever choose ONE woman??? Besides he is a "Player" and a deceptive one at that

She was setting him up to be eaten by the kraken, not starting an affair, at least that's how I saw it. She wanted Jack dead so she could have Will and the monster was after Jack. I don't think she will be with Jack, I think her and Will with find some other thing to do after they bring Jack back from the dead or whatever. Jack is too much of a liar and a cheat and Liz knows it ergo, she would never settle for such a person when she has Will who worships the very ground she walks on. Needless to say, I am convinced. Good question!!

I totally agree with you. You bring up very good points. Even if she was kissing Jack to save everyone else, she could have found a better way to trap him. But I say let Liz go with who ever she wants and I'll take Will. :o)

I think it's all a conspiracy. I am a HUGE fan of the movies and I was sooo weirded out when I saw Liz kssing Jack!!! I couldn't beleive it. I hope it gets resolved in the third movie. I couldn't beleive it just left us hanging and Will never found out it was fake!!!

i think of she loves the belief of Jack, yet no longer the 'actual element'. She grew up probably idolizing pirates and their way of existence so Jack is the epitome of that. in spite of the shown fact that, i think of (somewhat whilst they have been given stranded on the island interior the 1st action picture) the fact of what a pirate is replace into nowhere close to her myth and subsequently, Jack is extra desirable for her in myth then fact.
