When ever I'm watching a show on fox, the volume is a little bit too low, but as soon as the commercials come on, the volume increases dramatically. I find annoying that I have to constantly change the volume every time I'm on fox. EX: On the show 24, for some reason, the volume is very low and I have to put it all the way up so I can get into it, but when the show ends, some commercial about goodyear tires, or mcdonalds, or toyota comes on and is very loud.

Contrary to what some others have said it has NOTHING to do with your tv. It is your cable or local broadcaster. Most stations will use compression which regulates the audio that they are sending out to make it all the same level, that way when you swich from tv show to commercial there won't be a noticable jump in volume. Sometimes you get lucky and get a feed from a POORLY run affiliate and you experience the problems you are experiencing. Sometimes they will allow a light jump for commercials but if you are experiencing a dramatic jump you need to file a complaint with the cable company or your local Fox affiliate. I have had the same problem with Fox before. Obviously, all that money they are raking in is going straight to their CEOs and not to improving the quality of their broadcasts.

Hope that helps

Yeah and like I have arthritis in my left ankle and I'm like all the way in another room (probably why they do it they know people go to other rooms during commercials) and then like its LATE at night and I've got the window open and I live in an apt. and I'm like sh*t my neighbors are gonna think I got the TV all cranked-up . . .so I LIMP back over to the d*mn TV . . .This is why I now READ magazines . . .TV makes me dizzy . . . It's more of an attack and a con anymore now isn't it . . A con that the show is worth watching . . and an attack by the commercials . . .It jsut stresses me out and makes my mind go blank and turn to jelly.

For me, that happens on a lot of channels. I have Comcast cable. I usually turn my receiver on during the show and mute it during commercials. That way, I can reduce/increase the volume quickly and easily.

Yea and the same thing happens in your car. Like when you get out, the volume on the radio is at a normal volume and when you get back in, it's like someone snuck into your car and turned it up full blast!

Yes; however, if you have a newer TV you can set the volume to stay equal ... sorta takes the buzz out of some shows, but at least it doesn't jolt you out of a snooze.

this really weird you ask. I really think its interception like anyone that passes with a police radio or something . For a while there I thought my mom was really losing her hearing lol ! Really, I would tap my husband on the shoulder and make a gesture like check her out ! L O L No, I was not being mean right LOL !

That happens to me also, but not just on fox. I find it happens on all the networks. It's quite irritating.

i think they do it on purpose so you'll notice the commercials more. All it does to me is make me change the channel
