I feel it has. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look at the main great shows on local televison. You have House on FOX, Two and a Half Men on CBS, My Name is Earl on NBC, Supernatural on WB, Lost on ABC, and Everybody Hates Chris on UPN. These shows have good charcaters, good story, and something to keep you interested. So, do you feel like I do that tv writers have stepped up their game. Because I'm geniunely impressed.

Oh, yes! Two and a Half Men has great dialogue, Boston Legal and Grey's Anatomy are fantastic. I thought I'd miss Frasier forever, but don't really miss it much now. Can hardly wait for the new season to begin. Lost and Invasion have me really wondering, and with the way the world is I could use a some new episodes of 2&half. LMAO Impressed? Me, too!

Well, if you think about it, most of TV is reality shows which do not require writers. Ergo, any good writers are flocking to shows that actually need scripts; Lost, Supernatural, soap operas, and so on. Personally, I am very tired of reality TV and want it to stop but I think I am in the minority on that since more and more keep coming out. Good question!!

I think some shows have really good writing staffs like some of the ones you already mentioned.

Look at 24 on Fox, or Nip/Tuck on FX two really good shows with excellent writing.
