I do not like people bringing down to teens. I am not a teen either. I am actually almost 30. Sure, some teens make unwise decisions... that is why they are not called adults yet. I think if we gave teens more credit though for the wisdom they have learned so far and guide them in the way they should go instead of bringing them down, then we would raise an excellent generation of upright citizens. I know almost as many 20-40 year olds that make just as many stupid mistakes as 15 year olds. I can help direct Middle-High- and even college students, but by the time they are young adults 22+ they should know better. That is where I lose my tolerance. If we treat a generation like crap, they will not learn how to live appropriately and the cycle starts all over again. Some of these teens see things more clearly than my cloudedacquired lenses of bias. Young Vitality must meet my experience to guide these young people to be productive members of society in the future.

I'm not so sure it's an attack on teens... but teenagers on the whole need to be knocked down to size occasionally. I know that because I know how I was when I was that age. I needed a good *** beating from time to time. And the way things are looking, the generations are only going to get more and more out of control. Rest assured that your generation will pick on teens just as much (if not moreso) as you're getting picked on now.

Because adults can forget what it's like to be a teenager, especially these days. Teens go through a lot of changes and a lot of growin up in a few years...and people just don't take the time to get involved in their lives and stand by them as they become adults themselves. Being 25, I tend to find myself forgetting about these things, and can understand how it becomes more like that as the years go on. Relationships should be built between people because they are so important...it's what makes the world what it is. Good relationships=good emotions=good people.

Teenagers in general have a reputation of acting like they already know it all and everyone who would give them advice are stupid and old. I know they're not all like that, but in general. If you're a teen, you'll think the same thing when you get to be in your 20's and beyond. I remember being a teen and thinking I knew it all, too. Now I realize that I really didn't know anything about the real world.

Because a lot of people forget how they and their generation were when they were teens. Some people look back on their teens years with rose colored glasses. They forget some of the really stupid things they did when they were young. Teens were being put down when I was one, when my mom was one, when my grandmother was one. ..etc. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Because teenagers have a habit of shooting their mouth off while not knowing what they're saying. They also tend to do the stupidest things without thinking of the consequences.

I did it when I was a teen, and I look back now and laugh (or cringe). You'll do the same.

So they will strive to grow into productive and successful people, proving that they are not what people thought. Granted, people go too far sometimes, (I know I do), but it does originate from a general concern for the well-being of the country's youth.

If you saw someone jumping off a bridge, you'd try to stop them too. :)

people don't bring teens down, their hormones do. in the teen years, hormones are doing a rapid dance on you, and you are not aware of it. they cause you to do things that you normally would'nt do, cause you to overreact, and cause you to think that no one understands you. older people do understand you because they've been there. listen to them, try to heed them, and know that you will be back to your normal self in a few months.

Because they know that some teens are so insecure about themselves that they will whine about it on Yahoo Answers.
