Why do pedohiles still get lax sentences? When will we fight back for our kids?

? I think any Pedophile and/Or perpatrator of incest be sentenced severley.( i agree too many of people in control of the laws or diddling kids)

i agree totally. this is the one situation where i feel that the death penalty should be made the standard. and i think they should be made to suffer before they die. nothing you can think of can be as bad as making a kid go through life having to remember what they went through.

someone who rapes a child should be beaten within an inch of his life, knocked out, have his genitals super glued to the floor, and woken up to see the room he's in set on fire. give him a dull knife and stand outside the door. see if he makes it out, and if he does, shoot him in the face.

That is a HUGE gripe of mine too. There were two trials going on in the northwest part of my state this month that involved pedophiles. I read the paper everyday to keep up on what was happening. Finally, both juries came back with a guilty verdict within days of each other. One got 5 life sentences plus 100 years and the other got 15 years. So one will never touch another child, but the other will be out in probably 7 or 8 years to continue what he started. Both had about the same charges I don't know how the one got off so easy. There was also another man that only got 1 year and that was suspended! Makes me sick that we let these sickos back on the street. Grass root efforts need to be started and supported to change the law so our kids can be safe.

Its a great question. Its sad when I see California's legislature refuse to let bills out of committee to increase sentences for molestors and I've heard about the same in NY. Yet we sentence bank robbers to life and minimum terms of 10 years but let pedophiles go in less then 2 in many cases - very sad.

What is worse is the very very quiet effort to make such crimes a medical issue to be treated by doctors rather then a crime.

I don't know what the deal is with that ? We can send a man to the moon but can't come up with a law that is strict enough for these sick punks !!! Back in the old days they used a 26cents bullet I say we do they same now with them there is no help for them and it would give us extra money to do other things like take care of our Hungry and homeless !!!

Balance. The punishment must fit the crime. We as a society need to have a care for each other.I personally would rather have them near so that an eye could be kept on them than placed in their own community unchaperoned. Let's educate our kids and empower them. We can't watch them 24/7. Don't let fear be our guide. Peace.

I believe pedophiles should be sentenced to life sentences! No pervert can change their ways like that...NOBODY can change their feelings for something (or someBODY in this case).

To me, pedophiles that act on their feelings are no better than murderers. They should get the death penalty or rot in prison for life.

I wish all the politicians in D.C. were like you...then maybe we wouldn't be hearing about another child abduction every night on the news. When will they learn? i wonder...
