* How to Get Rid of Stretch Marks *

Stretch marks are caused by periods of fast weight loss or gain such as adolescence or pregnancy. Starting off a red purple colour, over time they fade to a silvery shade which is not as noticeable.

Steps
If you are pregnant or expecting a change in weight, for example when dieting, keep the skin supple by applying a rich moisturiser frequently.
A healthy, varied diet can contribute to better skin elasticity. Include oily fish such as salmon, nuts and seeds and lots of fruit and vegetables.

Tips
Cocoa Butter is highly recommended as a rich moisturiser, and is widely available.
Shea butter isn't as easy to find yet, but it has many properties that can help against stretch marks (google it to find something suitable)
If you find your stretch marks very upsetting,a dermatologist may be able to help.
Remember stretch marks are very common, you are not alone.
Sunless tanning products can help to camoflage stretchmarks.

Warnings
Always check the ingredients before applying a new skin care product.
Nothing can erase stretchmarks once they have formed.

Things You'll Need
Rich Moisturiser such as cocoa butter.

Vitamin E straight from the pill or in cream form. They also make stretch mark cream which I used for a while and it seemed to work but only while I used it (once I stopped, the appearance of the marks came back to what they were before).

If they are new stretch marks, they may lighten over time. Good luck.

I don't know that this will reduce the size, but it wille definitely make them less noticable, exfoliate the areas w/ the marks daily with a good loofa sponge or those scrubby gloves, then after you dry off after your shower, use Palmer's cocoa butter formula lotion.
If you make it a routine the marks will fade noticeably pretty quick

You should use cocoa butter on your skin to prevent them, but once you have them, it is too late to do anything about it.
