1. Guess the babyfood- you remove the labels off of baby food jars and each guest has to take a taste and try to identify what the baby food is.

2. Purchase several baby items (diaper, bottle, pacifier, comb etc) before shower and arrange them all on a tray. Have the mom-to-be pass the tray around then find a reason to excuse herself. Once she is gone the hostess tells the guests to write down as many things as the Mom-to-be was wearing (color outfit, hair accessories, earrings etc). This will shock your guests because they are expecting to write down the items. They were probably not looking at the mom so it will be tough, but fun.

3. Buy 10 to 12 baby Items. Get little envelopes and cards from the florist department of grocery store. Write the price of the item on the card and on the envelope write the item name, then seal envelopes. Play it like the tv show - "The Price Is Right" The one that collects the most price cards without going over the amount wins.

4.In advance, ask all the guests for pictures of themselves as babies. Assemble the photos on a board and assign each a number. At some point during the shower, pass out sheets of paper to the guests so they can match each baby to the appropriate grown-up. If the guests don't know each other well, name tags can help the process. The person who gets the most correct answers wins.

The toilet paper game- Have everyone take a section off the roll that they would think would fit around the belly.

The diaper pin game- Give everyone a diaper pin and tell them they can't say the word baby. Who ever does and the first person to catch them gets their pin. Who ever has the most pins at the end of the shower wins.

Put the word baby on a plate but don't tell the party goers and when everyone is done getting their refreshments tell them the person with the plate wins.

But little novelty babies or pacifiers (found at any craft store) put them in ice trays and add water. They item will be in the ice cube. Pass out the ice cubes for everyones drinks and who's ever melts away first wins.

The diaper game- Melt pieces of candy bars and place them in diapers and see who can guess what is in the diaper! Fun game!

Play the memory game- Place a table full of baby items in front of everyone and give them like 15 seconds to look everything over, then have them write down everything they can remember and the person with the most items wins.

I have played all these games and they are all fun. Here are some websites I found too.

Clothespin game-Each guest gets a clothespin. If you say the word baby and someone hears you, that person gets to take your clothespin. At the end of the game whoever has the most clothespins wins the game. This game lasts throughout the whole babyshower. You will find the winner at the end of the game.

There is another game that was played at my babyshower. Each person has to hold a baby doll in one arm, talk on the phone and try to hang clothes on the line. You have a certain amount of time. If you drop a piece of clothing you are automatically eliminated. Whoever hangs the most clothing wins.

You can put candy bars in a diaper. Everyone has to guess (by writing down on a sheet of paper) what it is. The one with the most correct wins.

Put some safety pins in some rice (in a bowl). While blindfolded, the player has to try to get as many safety pins out as possible. But they have to be careful because you can not pull rice out too. You can transfer the safety pins from one bowl to another.

Guess what baby food it is

There is a game we played at my baby shower that everyone had fun doing - I dont know what it would be called, but basically you need 2 bowls, one empty and one filled with cotton wool balls, get a blind fold and a pair of tongs. The aim of the game is to have a person blindfolded and using the tongs they must get the cotton wool from one bowl to the other. You time this (say 20 seconds) and whoever gets the most cotton balls in the other bowl in the end wins. Its funny because you cant feel if you have the cotton wool in the tongs and you cant see where the bowl is exactly either. If you have a few people at the shower, do it in heats of two or 3 at a time - got lots of giggles at my baby shower :o)
