Neverending Story. There are 2 of them and very easy to locate on DVD. I loved them and are part of my collection. You can find them at Wal-Mart in the $5.50 bin all the time and they never get old. One of those classics, don't cha know. Good luck!!

If you are referring to the cartoon that had a little girl and boy that any time they wanted to go to this other world they either said a special word or look in a book(cant remember which) then it is DragonTales. There was a twin headed dragon that flew as well as several others.
Now if it was about a boy that read a book and it turned out that the book referred to himself(Sabastian) then it was the Neverending Story. There was like a flying dragon that looked like a dog. There were always trying to save the princess or the time period to save his own world but in that special time.

I think that you are talking about Neverending story. It was about a boy named Sebastian who was reading a book. In the book was a boy named Atreiu and he rode on Falcor the "Luck dragon". He was trying to save the Empress from the "Nothing".
