I like the name shay....it depends on what you are like though. I knew a girl name shay and a boy named shay too so I like it for eighter one but some people dont like unisexed names. If you dont like unisexed names the a close name to it is Shane which is for a boy. Im having a boy and his name is unisexed its Jalyn. I cant really suggest any names because I would atleast need to know if you like traditional names or a little more of a different name. I personally like Tristain for a boy, but for me boys names are hard to come up with. Everyone has different taste in names so try to come up with something that you really like and try not to listen to any negative comments others may make...Good luck and congrats

First, how about discuss this with your husband. If you don't have one, pleeeezzze don't hang an awkward name on a child! Too many parents live a fantasy life through their children and really burden them with a name they wish they didn't have or can hardly wait until they are old enough to shorten or change their name to something more sensible. I have met men with the name "Vivian" or "Evelyn". Soooo sad! Billy (Billie) and Francis (Frances) are two other silly names to burden a child with. I had a sister-in-law that named her first son Jimmy and the second one James! Be practical!

Shay sounds feminine to me, like a shortened version of Shaylene or something like that. My advice would be to pick a meaning you want, like strength or something like that, then check out baby naming sites that offer names by meaning and type in your meaning.I used that technique for my daughter and she has an orginal name that suits her perfectly with a fantastic meaning.

I have only known a few girls with that name..if you'd like something unique, give a name a different spelling, my little guy's middle name is Nikolas, which being white American, everyone thought was alittle weird..I liked Jack, Sean, Patrick, names like that, but the only name my husband and I could agree on was Ryan
