I don't have a large field available , but there is a small grassy area to play games. I am teaching Vacation Bible School.

Duck-duck goose is great for that age, although a large group of people can be a hassle. One that I really like is where you organize everyone into groups of two (you may need to adjust the rules or leave a few people out to make it work). There is someone who has been tagged and is trying to get on the outer circle. A safe place to be is with no more than two people linked together. If you link to an already full group, the person on one end has to unlink and find some other group to get to before they are tagged. If they are tagged, the tagger must find a spot for safety. It's really fun, and can get quite exciting.
Then there are games that are not physical: have some paper and pens for those in the group. Tell each person to write a sentence on the page, fold the paper over so it can't be seen, and pass it on. The next person draws a picture based on the sentence. The page is folded and passed along again, until the pages are pretty full, or until it has gone all the way around. Each person then takes a turn to read the sentences and show the pictures.
There are a lot of creative games like that, and I be you could come up with some of your own. If you can, talk to a recreational therapist and ask for some ideas or help; their advice can be invaluable in your situation.

If those fail, try arts and crafts activities: even on the grass they can still be fun.
