My wife is one of the most incredible people I know.
I am in complete awe of her.
There is no one better for me.

I would guess that it would most likely be what the guy feels he is not getting or not experiencing with his wife. Be it a younger women if he thinks she's getting too old, or someone seemingly more attractive if she isn't as appealing as before, or someone smarter if he feels the conversations are getting boring, someone with a career if finances are tight, etc.
But there is no excuse for this. He made a commitment to his wife and family. If he is going to leave then he should have the courage and decency to break off the current relationship before starting another. First he should make every effort to improve what he has before seeking an alternative.
I love my wife and am constantly thankful for whatever she sees in me that keeps her loving me. I may glance but I'd never stray.

In my opinion, men stray because they can, if they think they will not get caught. Depending on their age, I would imagine someone younger, and with beauty. I don't believe it's a mid life crisis. Some men look for a bit more, and women do, as well.

I would hope that if I had been married for awhile and I was bored, I would simply explain this to my wife and together we could figure out how to make that not the case anymore.

It is so hard to say on something like that. Sometimes the men are weak and when there is a girl that comes onto them, they are just weak and do not have good control

Mostly they want someone to listen to them who they feel underrstands them,also it comes down to old versus new,you could have Angelina Jolie on your arm,and yet after awhile you would take anyone new.
Not myself of course,and that's why I'm single.That and I like my freedom too much.
