It's pretty funny to think that people get so pissed off because you actually want honest spiritual answers for a question instead of preaching from bible thumpers...
Well the question was "Why do you think we are here in these human bodies"...

I think that people just have their own beliefs and feel very strongly about those beliefs! What really cracks me up are the so called "God fearing,God loving, religious people" that are on this site who think nothing of telling someone that does not agree with their beliefs to "Go F**K yourself!!!" Kind of contradictory, don't you think?? LOL!!!
I think your question was a thoughtful one-something you don't see much of on this site!! You just keep on laughing at the losers-I mean, what else can you do??

You asked a question, you got an honest opinions. why do you care if some of the things that were said by stronger mind you, were negative. You are the only one who can answerer that type of question, what others say is just advice. Some of it was just plain cruel, but some was actually pretty good. If what the simple minded people said about your question hurt you send them an email, and tell them what you think. Also keep in mind some people only answer questions to get point, i even do that at time. Don't take anything to seriously.

It is a harsh world by these standards set down in dogma. I look at Christianity as a gate way drug to harder religious zeal. Sort of a "this is your brains on Jesus" kind of vibe. The high that the righteous get is too good to give up and like most junkies they only want more and of course want you to come along for the ride. Pretty soon you may see people in alley's reading the Bible and getting all jazzed up on the Lord instead of other substances. Good for them! If it makes it all work then what the heck. It's a darn shame that they have to mouth you off with the nasty stuff though, I think your question has merit; I bet Jesus would have too.

Nah - I don't think they were particularly cruel, but they (1) really didn't pay attention to your question, (2) didn't really care whether they pushed their religion in your face, and (3) there were a few good posts to answer your questions.

In a forum such as this, you will always get some smart-alec answers, and need to get thicker skin. Some people thrive on "burning" others for what they perceive as questions being ridiculous. Those are the same people that look like idiots taunting others when they play sports.

Just filter through the few ideas that are good and don't give the low wattage light bulbs the idea that you care what they think. It's worth it. And you get the added bonus of knowing that you're really irritating someone out there that is just in it to get a reaction from you!

It is a vital subject. It touches the core of the being. It gently reminds us to take a look at the purpose of our life ! Many great masters, invoke this question, not waiting for a disciple to ask !
Yet, its 'touchy' nature to some, is indeed reflected in some responses. The very nature of the question seems to suggest "why did you not think of this so far ?". It needs no education, training, skill, etc.... and yet the basic sense ought to remind a person of the urgency of looking at the question at the earliest. When the inner mind reminds thus, it is difficult to respond with 'negativity' to oneself. So, an outlet is available in this forum where, anonymity is well maintained. It is a response more to console oneself rather than to question the questioner !
So no search warranted to find out 'if anything wrong in asking such questions".... Appreciations are more beautiful with silence, though not in conformity with conventions in vogue !

Christians are programmed to be unaccepting of others outside their belief system. It's not their fault, most of them have no idea how inane they appear to people on the outside of their fantasy world. Most people who cling to religion do so because without a crutch their lives would have no meaning to them. So when someone attacks their faith, whether the person actually is or not, they spring into offensive mode, and there can be no reasoning with them at this point.

In response to your other question, I don't think we have any choice in where and how we are born. We just are, and that is plenty enough reason for me to have a good time with it. Who knows what the alternative of death really means. Noone. Or they would be dead, wouldn't they.

I have seen the same responses to many. I think that Bible thumpers in general have not tried to employ their intelligence to accept spirituality. Most of them will deny that they have a guardian angel, they will deny that God can speak directly to them, they have no idea what it really means to get in touch with their spirit and their place on the planet.
It's a sad thing if you think about it.

Not only is it a difficult subject, but the Christian viewpoint is a very limiting and, all told, a fairly unpleasant one.

It's too bad you have to do this of course, but it might deter the comments of some unwanted viewpoints if you put something like "Spiritualists only" in the title of the question.

What they live is what they are taught. So in every answers they will have to go back to their Holy Book like a student refers his/her text. This is good in the beginning. But in the later life you need to develop your own inner personality learning from the life and experiences.

Those that have no developments in their mind - they are mentally retarded. The wise will keep the growth until his/her last breathe.

This is what I think. The best policy is to treat people the way you want to be treated. If you want to be treated cruely then that is the way you will be treated. Some people come on here to get an honest opinion and not to be treated cruely. So, what I would say is if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all!!!
