Day after Christmas here.
It blows. Everyone is broke, fat and exhausted on my birthday. If they're even in town they don't want to celebrate anything else. And my gifts are always wrapped in Christmas paper.
I love Christmas and just celebrate to the fullest that day. Then I sleep in on my bday.

My birthday is on New Years day. I think it is a disadvantage because christmas is 6 days before my birthday and I don't get what I want for my birthday when most people do and I don't ask for a lot. My family even says that I don't ask a lot but my sister does so they spend all there money on her. So I don't get a lot for my birthday. It could also be an advantage because I can have a birthday/New Years Eve party and then once 12:00am hits it is my birthday. Every one asks me when is my birthday, and I say January 1. They say dosn't that stink? I say yeah but it has its advatages too. As I said above.

I think it depends on the holiday. My birthday is 2 weeks before Chirstmas and my fathers is 2 days, so we both tend to get the "This is for your birthday and Chirstmas." speech. But my daughter was born on Feb 16 and although she has not had a b-day yet, I don't think it will be an issue. And I have some twin cousins born on the 4th of July and there is always family around for thier birthdays, they seem to like it.

I was born on Christmas Day. Whenever I tell anyone this, the common response is, "Wow. That must really suck for you". It has never been a problem for me. My parents always treated it as two occassions on one day. I never really got jipped out of presents; now that I am an adult the gifts I receive are higher priced, so it all ends up even. The downside is that it all happens on one day: birthday & Christmas, no breaks in between.

During some years my birthday falls on Easter. My parents named me April. I enjoy the lovely spring-themed store displays surrounding my birthday. However I find myself a sought after target on April Fool's day. I have to get used to hearing my name constantly during this Month with no reference intended towards myself. By early May, I joke that I've gotten a little deaf to it. I once met someone named August who related to this too. As a child I felt quite important having my name on the calender, in addition to being mentioned in story books and newspapers. I liked that A for April began the alphabet, even though it never affected my position in row call. I often find great collage and scrapbook pieces surrounding my name. Including a comment on the weather I hung on my door at 16 that read "It's only April, right?" I find as an adult I have to be very quick. As I am introduced to strangers I become subject to all sorts of prepositions concerning rain and flowers, subjects of which I haven't mentioned recently.

My dad was born close to Christmas. The biggest disadvantage to that was his birthday presents counted as his Christmas presents too so he didn't get as much stuff as his brothers did.

I was born in July 4th (1989), but unfortunately I don't live in America to enjoy the celebrations.
