I am going to be a junior in high school this coming school year. I am a year ahead in math because I took Algebra in 8th grade, instead of the normal, which is 9th grade. I am going to be taking Honors Pre-Cal, and I was wondering what it's like. My Alg. 2 teacher said that she thinks I'll be really good at it, but I am still a little worried. I was wondering if it's anything like Algebra 2, or if it's a completely different thing. I've looked for websites offering practice on Algebra 2, so that I could refresh my brain and get it going again, but I could only find sites for up to 8th grade. What's up with that? If anyone knows anything about Pre-Cal or any sites with Algebra 2 practice, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

It is hard, but if you have done well up to now, you will do well there. Just apply yourself and listen, don't get all caught up in worrying about something you can't control.

NOpe. Just like any subject, Pre-calculus will only be difficult if don't focus on the subject.
What you have to do:

1. Give sufficient time on the subject.
2. Don't leave the classroom until you got the main point of the day's lesson.
3. Practice. Take your book and solve the endchapter questions.
4. Pray. It really helps!
5. If you still have problems, contact me. I'm free for consultation! (",)

Pre-calc is a very difficult class unless you are a very good math student across the board. Pre-calc is much more advanced than basic algebra but builds on some similar concepts. It will introduce to a whole new world of upper level mathematics, but I can't promise you will enjoy it.

You will be fine..The important thing to focus on is your study habits...Alg 2 will help, but won't be the only thing being focused on (obviously)...Your teacher should the rest...Pre-Cal is ok...the hard part, if you want labels comes actually in Cal.

precal is harder than algebra for some people, but it is easier than algebra for others

if you are interested in math and work at it you will have no real problems

precal is cool because it is the start of "real" math and gives you some idea of what mathmatics (instead of arithmetic) is all about

I always thought calculus was way cool.
I bet you will too.

It is not that hard to study precalculus. it is just algebra with trigonometry. don't be scared for some topics, you'll get it once in a while...

some parts are hard and some parts aren't ,. it depends a lot on who your teacher is and how your teacher teaches.
