Go to START/RUN and type CMD
then type in the black screen:

ipconfig /renew

and hit enter

Click Start, Run, CMD, ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew and you should get a new IP address if you're talking about a home network (you may have to tell your DHCP to not use the former IP if you want a different one). If you want a new IP address from your ISP then unplug your cable modem (or dsl modem) and turn it back on because most (if not all) IPSs now only offer dynamic IP addresses....doing this will give you a different IP.

Type "how to renew IP Address" or something like that in the box of the search site as Yahoo, Google, etc. and you'll get what you want more than you need!
