First of all, the fault is really his. He should never hurt you. And that is so kind of you to really bother still about working the relationship. But i understand because you have a child and a family to take care of. While i would advise you to talk to him, i would also advise you to seek professional counselling from experts before you talk to him. It is just normal to feel resentment especially that he hurts you "so many times". But your partner also has to learn that not all his expectations can be met by YOU. He has to work on his life also. His violence is really unreasonable. He can just tell you, you can sit down together and talk about it. However, if he hurts you, you may not be safe with this man. So i would like to urge you to seek counselling. I know that "family" is important but you have to watch over yourself also..

If the relationship is full of resentment and unhappiness then it's time to move on. I think that you should get all of these feelings out in the open, he may feel the same towards you. You can't stay in a relationship where you are not happy and you don't want to raise a child in that situation either.

He is who he is. If he isn't meeting your expectations, perhaps your expectations are too high. You should be frustrated with yourself and not him. If your expectations are non negotiable, then you have no business being with him.
