on mine it says that i have 18 but i dont either something wrong with yahoo...!!!

The inbox shows the latest 50 emails, so if there are more than 50 in your inbox, you have to go to the second page to see the next 50, and so on. Maybe you have more than 50 emails in your inbox and the unread email is on one of the later pages.

Check deep in your mailbox, might be on page 2,3,4..... so on

try marking all your e-mails as "read". unread e-mails still counts as new e-mail sometimes.
