difficult question to answer huh...

basically for life forms in the lower level, it is survival, they are bounded by laws governing survival, survival thru adapting, changing, survival of your own kind thru multiplying, by having next generations of siblings.

as humans we are also bounded to this laws, yet we think... we have this amazing mind that ponders the reality and the meaning of it. aside from this basic laws that we also depend on, we have higher forms of intentions or goals after we secured the basic needs. remember the hierarchy of human needs, food water, shelter, clothing, security, must be met first before we can focus our minds to higher thoughts processes.

for me, the meaning of life is bounded to the laws governing it. Since we can think like no other life forms can as of the moment, this is an extra bonus for us, we must know that the meaning of life question becomes meaningful once we use our minds for the good of everything, specially for the good of us humans, of other life forms, of the environment, of the planet, the universe.

this is a legacy the next generations of humans will never forget once you did something for the good of humanity, size does not matter on your act, just do something good and that's it!

That life exists, not only in you, but in every man, beast, creature, or plant - all are thus equal, but also independent of each other. All that live are thus lonely by the simple state of their individual existence - it is this loneliness that will drive the individual to seek that which will permanently cure it - the drop must return to the ocean.

The question behind this question is asking "what am I living for ?" For myself, family, work, pleasures, etc ? After a person has achieved everything he/she wants, we are simply waiting for the next destination - death !

This is the question that has perplexed Man and history has countless examples of conquerors, kings & emperors who have comtemplated over this question. What comes next ?

Do we just roll over & die ? Our consciousness will just simply disappear and fade into eternal obscurity ? This is where an individual's beliefs will come into play. What do you believe comes next for you ?
