Uruguay won the 1st world cup beating Argentina 4:2 (1:2) in 1930. It was held in Centenrio, Montevideo (Uruguay). Only 13 countries, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, France, Mexico, Yugoslavia, Brazil, Bolivia, Romania, Peru, USA, Paraguay and Belgium were participating in the tournament.
