I taught 7th grade a year or two ago. To make a good impression wear something modest. As per supplies,
each school district is different. They usually have a list of materials
that students need at the office of your prospective school. They might even fax it to you or it may be posted on their website!

Something trendy and cute that says something about your personality. Make sure it's comfortable for the weather that day. Sometimes it's still hot on the first day of school. For supplies it's usually tab dividers, a 1" to 11/2" binder, about 5 to 7 spiral notebooks, index cards, pens, pencils and erasers.

Wear a "skinny" polo (i.e. Lacoste). And wear the new "skinny" knee shorts. That would be so cute. Wear both in bright colors, with sandals or flip-flops. Wear some cute earrings, and maybe a bright bracelet or two. Instead of a backpack, get a messenger bag. They are much cuter. And, wear your hair in a messy ponytail. For school supplies, go to WalMart. They have the cutest notebooks, pens, pencils, etc.... in fun colors, designs. I wish you the best.

As far as the supplies, check you local Wal-Mart and/or Target, they normally have a school supply list up by the grade and school. I have noticed that each teacher requires different things so thats something to consider.

for the first day of 7th grade, you should probably wear something you're somewhat comfortable in, because you dont want a dsiaster to occur. dont wear heels if you cant walk in them. and dont wear a shirt too short, that you have to keep pulling it down.

jeans and a polo/ something like that might be a good idea.
maybe a denim skirt?

as for makeup.... dont overdo it.
maybe some eyeliner and mascara.
and definately lipgloss.

you might wanna bring a purse or wristlet, ya know... to carry lipgloss and a mirror around in.
also bring a pencil or pen in there to copy down supplies or whatever...

My advice for the first of anything. Be prepared and dress "accident proof". Like, try not to wear something that might unzip, unbutto, or any un.
As far as school supplies, it depends on the school, although you should always have the basics. Paper, pens, calc, ruler , the likes.

Check the weather. Wear something comfortable but also something that'll make you feel confident and look good. So when you get to school, you will be confident and you will have your mind on your first day and not on how awfull you may look. It seems like I only think about what Im wearing when im wearing something that looks horrible and something that is uncomfortable. But when im comfortable and happy with what I got on, I dont even think about it the rest of the day. Except that I feel confident that I look and feel good.

hey, well im goin to 8th grade, i cant really answer ur question on what to wear, cuz we have to to wear uniform, and its a total DRAG!!! but on school supplies, you shoud need a totally cute backpack, pencils, a compass, a caculator, a notebook, u kno the usaul stuff, i hope u have fun in 7th grade

can't help u going to 11 th grade all igotta say hope you have a great school year and make sure you get good grades because what ur parents and teachers say about havig good grades helps in the long run is totally true believe me i know!!!!
