Hit the white ball (cue ball) with the tapered end of the stick (pool cue) and make the cue ball hit the other coloured balls. Holding the end of the cue with your dominant hand rest the tip on your other hand, which should be resting on the pool table near the cue ball. Go to a bar advertising pool tables and watch other people playing the game, you'll catch on quick.

The best advice I can give you is either watch them play on ESPN TV or go to a bar and watch.It is way to complicated to instruct here.
Basically you pick up the poo; cue,bend over the pool table,aim at the white cue ball,and aim that ball at the one you want to put in one of the holes in the table.Pull back the cue and push it into the cue ball.

That always depends on where the other balls are in relation to the holes they need to be hit into. Its all vectors or angles.
