I love Green Day's original stuff (I actually partied with the band members myself through an old friend in the 90's after 1039 smoothed out slappy hours released), but my own personal tastes lean toward AFI now, although they've, too, gotten a bit off their tracks of late. AFI's latest is worse than Green Day's worst, so it's a tough call (for me at least)

Green Day.
Theoretically, they've been around since the 90s & have a huge fan base. My favorite track still stands, "Good Riddance (Time of your life)
Whereas I'm unfamiliar with the band AFI's music, they're relatively new & there's not that much airplay on their music/ band.

I personally think AFI, becuz they have an original sound and they are new.But as for you choosing dat, idk.But i say AFI!
